Peebs & Oreo

Peebs & Oreo came to us in April of 2022 after another  sanctuary reached out about helping to place two bonded rabbits. Their background story is a bit fuzzy, but, we know that their prior life was a hoarding situation where luckily they found their way into sanctuary. The first few months of their intake both were very guarded, most notably Peebs. She went out of her way to avoid human touch and would hide as soon as she saw us.  Rabbits being prey animals makes them a bit nervous as a species, so we made sure to give them space & time to decompress.

 

Today, Peebs and Oreo are just the happiest little buns we've seen. Peebs has opened up incredibly and will jump over legs & onto bellies for treats. Oreo never misses a chance to ask for head rubs, and every morning does binkies for breakfast time. Peebs and Oreo are very bonded and spend each and every day together side by side - napping, munching on hay, and nibbling on wooden toys & sticks.
