Emerson

Emerson came to the sanctuary in May 2023 alongside Carl & Forrest. Of the 3 boys he traveled with, Emerson was the quiet, tall, and shy making him handsomely stand out from rest of the flock mates. He was only here for a short time before he left us, where he now has a permanent place at the sanctuary forever spreading his wings on the wild pond.

Little Possum came to us in April of 2022 where a local sanctuary was wanting to place him after his previous caretaker was moving and no longer had space for him. When he arrived he wasted no time settling in, he was the tiniest little dot with the biggest personality. Each and every morning we would say "good morning, Possum!" and he'd poke his head out of bed, give a squeak, and return back to snoozing. Trips outside, his tunnel, wormie snacks, he was so full of life. We didn't have enough time with him though, he passed away wrapped in his favorite blanket held by Morgan, where his tired body left in love.

Clover was rescued from a neglectful life and brought to the sanctuary in October 2023. He came with trauma both physical and emotion, where we helped heal the physical but the emotional would take more time. Over the months we watched him piece by piece learn what freedom and love was, something his past life never offered. He was scared, but strong. So strong. Our hearts aren't the same without him, he took a piece with him when he found the truest freedom.
